admission webhook "validation.istio.io" denied the request: configuration is invalid: wildcard host * is not allowed for virtual services bound to the mesh gateway

• 현상: VirtualService hosts를 “*” 로 변경한 후 다시 배포하려니 발생한 에러

• 해결: 특정 gateway를 명시하고 기존 리소스를 제거 한 후 배포

sidecar만 붙으면 network 에러

• 현상: namespace에 sidecar injection만 하면 apt update 등 network 에러 발생
• 원인: Many applications execute commands or checks during startup, which require network connectivity. This can cause application containers to hang or restart if the istio-proxy sidecar container is not ready.
• 해결: istio를 helm chart로 설치 할 때 global.proxy.holdApplicationUntilProxyStarts를 true로 설정→ 참고
